A Little Time Today Pays Off Every Day

Updated: Jun 8, 2019

It takes 5 minutes or less to introduce something new. This comes with the understanding that you are not expecting mastery the first time a skill is introduced. Each day, carve in time to revisit a previous taught skill. When it came time to introduce numbers to my daughter, I made sure to make that a part of our daily conversation, by asking questions in the car, at the store, or at the playground. You not only get your time in, but you also make a school-to- home connection with learning, which is important. Your child will look for these things each day, in and out of the classroom. This my friend is called application, a skill that matters most. In the long run, you will equip your child with a great work ethic.

By doing little things each day they will learn to set small goals to achieve bigger goals. You have heard the phrase Rome was not built in one day, right? Well that is the same for them, you would not expect them to calculate the circumference of the earth the same day they learned the number 3. Just remember a little time each day will pay off everyday.
